LOL that was the only episode I remembered.

Just like Dominion episodes are automatically in my Best Of lists and so my general "best of DS9" lists won't contain them because it goes without saying, Alternate Universe eps are automatically in my Worst Of lists so I don't bother keeping them in.
I'm pretty sure they seal Molly in tupperware every night to prevent her from aging.
Honestly, I don't know if Mirror Universe is at odds with the tone of DS9, I think they're trying to Out-Dark and Out-Adult a show that was already darker and more adult than previous treks, so it just comes across as ridiculous.
Why do you hate fun?!
Sorry, bro. Maybe you should sign off your posts with "Make sure you tag upcoming spoilers!" or something? In big bold red letters? And maybe use the Blink tag?
That was my feeling on re-watch. The Muse turned Jake into Wesley, and that cannot be forgiven.
Man Kira couldn't look less chagrined when Odo says that the day he met Lwaxana is the day he stopped being alone. It's up there with Worf burning Alexander with his "I have no family" line at the end of Sons of Mogh.
Oh, definitely.
Agreed—Hard Time pretty consistently ranks for most people, because the Dominion War creates a sort of megalopolis of awesome that can't be broken down into discrete episodes to knock it out.
@avclub-d80126524c1e9641333502c664fc6ca1:disqus — but he didn't do that in the Trial, he would sit there and tip off Sisko about the true motives while they were having a snack in the commissary.
yeah, I had the same thought, are we over-hyping the episode?
Yes, but he's basically admitting that the political interests outweigh the criminal justice interests behind this extradition, which would wave huge red flags for any government to "dig deeper because this is probably a frame-up."
It won't be for another couple of seasons. I know we keep referencing it, but goddamn it's just that good. :D
Especially when within the first ten minutes the Single Klingon Lawyer tips his hand and admits that this trial is entirely for the purposes of humiliating the federation and allowing them to expand their war against the Cardassians. Isn't that something the lawyer should keep to himself until AFTER the verdict (if at…
It depends on the swamp, I suppose. If you're fleeing from an army and your only hope is to cross a swamp that's notorious for trapping people and being impossible to navigate, getting through scott-free while your pursuers get bogged down and suffer heavy casualties might seem like a miracle. It doesn't need to be…
I don't know if it's weakened to the point where it ceases to be a miracle. If the whole point is that God brought Moses and his people through a swamp and then had the swamp devour the Egyptians, isn't that still a miracle to the people of Israel, even if it wouldn't look as cool on the big screen? And I've never…
I don't think that's the distinction I was making. To say the Red Sea Wasn't Quite How It Happened, is a different thing altogether than to say It Didn't Happen At All.
No, I'm trying to draw a distinction between the sort of mysteries that require faith and simple misinterpretation. There are plenty of examples:
Right — so I don't think that's a matter of faith. If my mom tells me she met Friend X and it turns out she really met Friend Y, I don't really consider it something where my faith is tested by a simple mistake.
