You are correct, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, you could walk out with $100 easily (my first job we didn’t pool tips, so you’d walk out with $125-$150 on a good day during the closing weekend shift).

Yeah I worked at public courses. There is a big difference working at public courses and private clubs. The no tipping thing is typical for CC. Generally there is a gratuity charged to the members at the end of the month/year that is supposed to flow to the workers. 

My first job/Minimum wage job is easily the best. I worked at a golf course as a “players assistant,” essentially greeting golfers before the round, taking their clubs, loading them up on the cart. Then after the round, you greet the golfers coming off the course, wipe up the clubs, and they flip you between $2 and $5…

The reason teams kick the ball on the ground first rather than kick them high and short is to prevent the recovering team from just fair catching it. In an onside situation, the recovering team could careless about field possession and values recovering the ball, so signaling for a fair catch makes the most sense.

I worked at a golf course in high school, and got this all the time. The stock response was always “somewhere in between” with a smile.  That caught most people delivering a tired joke as fresh.
