I like both versions, but Dolly's definitely gives me more of a warm feeling as it reminds me of how much I enjoyed "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" as a child. Dolly always made me feel happy in a very unhappy childhood.

Grouchy is right. She did an amazing job. There is nothing wrong with a tribute that doesn't want to mess with the original song. Singing it almost exactly is a tribute in and of itself. This went wayyyy beyond karaoke.

Yes! I have a sever roach phobia too and I felt dizzy with terror when I saw this. I had to scroll down very quickly to the article and comments to get that horrible picture off my screen. It is horrendous.

I completely agree. I read this article as a stream of consciousness. I found it surreal and introspective.

I like to think that Linda Susan Boreman's ghost is causing all of these problems with both productions because she doesn't want to be exploited, yet again, in death. Let the woman rest in peace, already.
