Is there a Black guy talking? Not in a Christopher Nolan movie.

It should really be from a white guy's perspective.

Ironically, Oppenheimer’s view of the atomic bomb is that least important one.

I don’t know that anyone is going to list “Excelsus Dei” or “Teso Dos Bichos” as their favorite X-Files episode. And that's leaving out the last five seasons.

Bring back Fred MacMurray! What else is he doing?

I generally enjoy watching Pineapple Express. But otherwise I’ve come to associate his name with “overrated garbage.”

If you want to spend more for a more deluxe presentation, Shout Factory also has its complete Friday the 13th collection for $90. It definitely looks better.

Yeah, when I see “Star Wars cartoon with Freddie Prinze Jr,” I definitely think “serious entertainment for adults.”

My parents love it too. Well, not my dad, he doesn’t know what it is. My mom is dead, but I’m sure that wherever she is, she’s a big fan.

It's not that interesting.

Now we're talking!

It’s easy to overlook what a solid murder mystery Scream is -  the reveal that (spoilers for the original Scream... in a discussion of Scream 6) there were two killers was a great surprise.

Slo-mo doves are old news. We demand doves in fast motion, speed-ramped, with that “jerky” motion filter they use in zombie movies.

So wait... John Woo is making a new version of “The Killer” with a different title, setting, and main character? Isn’t it more accurate to just say, “John Woo is making a new movie that’s like The Killer?”

The part of this article I disagree with is actually the (very common) idea that it was about Baby Boomers’ fear of losing control over their children’s behavior. Instead, I think it’s about the more specific fear of your child dying from an illness that takes their personality. Movies didn’t really depict people

Personally I find the approach to tie everything back to the Avengers is a problem when you’re dealing with superheroes who are better than the Avengers. I like the Holland/Zendaya movies, but it’s deeply annoying that they have to bog Spider-Man down with Avengers continuity. It’s Spider-Man, knock it off.

Hey, it worked out for renowned director and household name Richard Marquand.

Austin Powers did a good job of packing different kinds of silliness into a coherent story. It was a parody of the 60s and also a parody of the 90s and also a collection of sight gags and also goofy non sequiturs like the peeing scene or Dr Evil recounting his childhood and also a serviceable spy movie. There was

My wife and I had a similar issue with WandaVision and the second Spider-Man movie - they just can’t get out of the shadow of the Avengers movies.

Yup, which is exactly why I avoid the MCU in general. I like Spider-Man and Zendaya, but the references to the Avengers are dead weight.
