For winter tires, should I get another set of Bridgestone Blizzaks WS-80s or Michelin X-Ice 3s? Either will be on dedicated rims. Nokian Hakkapeliitta would require a 55 minute trip to the closest Discount Tire.
Instead of AWD, what about a V6 Camry/Accord with winter tires on a second of wheels? I have a 2014 Accord V6 with winter tires on their own rims and it has worked out well.

I just don’t see Toyota using a turbo 4 cylinder when the Avalon is built in the same factory. It seems you would have to plan for another engine on the factory line. Also nearby, you have the Highlander and the Sienna using the V6 like the Avalon and the Camry.

I bought Blizzacks WS80s for this winter and I love them when there is acutal snow to drive through. I think they should have had regular winter tires of a performance winter one.
