Just to clarify, the decision for a woman to have an abortion is not between “a woman and the guy”. If she chooses to discuss it with her partner, fine, but it’s her body, it’s her decision.

The commenter PersnicketyPants is an acerbic, offensive, disingenuous coward who attacked me unjustifiably when I questioned some of her comments on this post and then turned tail and ran when I challenged her further, dismissing and deleting all of my replies to her in the process. Because I was debating her

1. Stalking your comments? LOL, get over yourself, sweetheart. Do you think you were the only person I replied to that day, or even on that Hyde Amendment post? I was just systematically going through threads and replying to people where I felt it appropriate. Maybe if you hadn’t been slinging so much disingenuous,

LOL, gawd you truly are comical. I don’t think I’ve said a single thing about Clinton’s baggage and how it might harm her in the general, largely because it’s all old news, all baked into the cake, and voters have heard it all before. Any voter who wouldn’t support Clinton because of her “baggage” already feels that

What was nasty about what I said? It’s just a fact. There are a number of Clinton supporters who are pissed off that a penis-owner is challenging her in the primaries and actually polling well. It’s as obvious as the nose on your face; all you have to do is read the comments on a site like Jez to see that. If you

I don’t think that Sanders supporters are “largely young misogynist dudebro men who support him because he has a penis”, I think there there are men like this supporting Bernie, but believe that they are a minority of his supporters.

Reposting my earlier reply to you since you dismissed it like a typical thin-skinned Jezzie:

But the only time you ever qualify it like that is when challenged, which is telling.

That’s some fine concern trolling there.

But it’s totally unfair to call either Obama or Sanders a “Dudebro”. They are no such thing.

It’s like saying that white males are voting for Bernie because he’s a white male. That’s also bullshit.

Thank you Berniebro for assuming that women voting for Hillary are thinking with their vaginas. That’s not at all condescending.

the most important issue of the day is the systematic oppression of over half the population, on all fronts.

The reaction you got had little or nothing to do with differences in policy proposals or voting records, or in how ardently Sanders has proclaimed his feminism. It’s just raw Battle of the Sexes in political form. To them, you’re a failed feminist because you’re a woman who’s supporting the candidate who has a penis.

Berniebro’s refer to a specific phenomenon of anti-feminist/MRA types supporting Bernie. Sadly, MRA’s are out there and polluting discourse everywhere. And a portion of them support Bernie. This is not intended as an insult to regular Bernie supporters.

My interpretation is that he thinks economic justice is life-threateningly important and that hot-button issues and identity politics has been used as a wedge issue to prevent politicians from actually addressing the colossal economic unfairness that we are facing.

Hiya, hope you get better soon! I’m going to recommend anything by the remarkable Gabriel Garcia Marquez, especially One Hundred Years of Solitude (I’m shocked that it was mentioned in only two other replies to you, as it is a truly brilliant work), but also The Autumn of the Patriarch, Love in the Time of Cholera,

I know, I’m familiar with the history, my point was just that objectively the two terms mean the same thing, so it’s kind of silly that one is de rigeur with the progressive left while the other draws a vitriolic response from those same people.

Sorry, but I couldn’t make it past “authentically leveraging his privilege”. As I get older I’m just getting more and more sick and tired of academic identity politics circle-jerk language like this.
