It’s not outrageously expensive for aerial shots (think about how affordable drones are now) and i’m sure they found money in their sorority’s budget. I bet they have a lot of money for that kind of thing because they have so many members. Honestly, apart from the obvious white washing, this video isn’t that

Yeah, it’s not like any other student organizations on college campuses self-select to create a semi-homogeneous group...

We don’t have Uber in my city (yet). An acquaintance is a sex crimes investigator in the city. There were SEVERAL sexual assaults on women over the 10 day period of our annual summer festival, perpetrated by licensed cab drivers. In cabs with partitions. They didn’t make the media, for whatever reason. I only know,

Bit we don't know the men who approached her even participated in the chant.

ya know, this reminds me a bit of the idea at play in defamation claims - if something is obviously farcical - it is not actionable.

You've never seen me have a take on this subject. If anyone knows me, it's from really one place: The Saturday Essay, which is seldom about this.

You just said it didn't happen, that women can't chastise for false accusations and it does nothing. Not very little, nothing.

But it sure was funny in Weekend At Bernie's

I feel like you're not really allowing for the reality of a college campus though. The captain of the rugby team is hardly trained or prepared for having altercations with other groups - he's just some guy on the team who organizes their practices. If he was in the cafeteria and saw her there, he might have thought,

You sure sound humble

Or maybe have a discussion about how any kind of questioning of a victim shouldn't be immediately labeled as "retraumatising the victim" and the person asking the question shouldn't be accused of being a rape apologist or a misogynist. A healthy dose of skepticism is pretty much required if you want to survive, well,

Seriously the fact that these dudes recognized they had to right around, and thought about it enough to do it in person, in a public space as to not threaten and Ms. Pearl Clutcher still got offeneded. Nah, fuck her. She feeds exactly into the caracture of fem nazis.

There is actually an entire campaign devoted to men policing men.

Tara Babcock is either a troll or next-level stupid. Don't waste your time, mate.

If they come for you, they can come for me too. There's no excuse or justification for the anonymous threats and harassment she's getting online - that shit is seriously not okay - but she seems like an insufferable person spoiling for a fight.

That's a bunch of crap. You're saying that when more than one man approaches a woman, during the day, in public, and offers to shake her hand; they are obviously trying to intimidate and/or rape her.

I understand why it can come off as intimidating but to me, and maybe to them, it seems a lot more genuine to go meet someone face to face. They were representatives of their team, and the real kicker here is they were in an open and public place. They didn't corner her in the library, they walked up to her in the

It's a dead body, you can't rape a dead body, just like you can't kill or maim or assault a dead body. You can certainly desecrate a dead body which all of the things above fall under and it's a crime, but you can't rape it.

It seems like you would be able to discern that from a conversation as opposed to stereotyping a group of people.

Groups like that are never actually interested in having a discussion.
