Heads up if you didn't know, but a *lot* of Scott Walker's inner circle went down because they used a private email server to run Walker's campaign for governor while on the clock at Walker's Milwaukee County Executive office. Walker himself nearly went down for it — there was a smoking-gun email and everything.

I think people aren't considering it because it's virtually impossible. First off, if that were the case her people would have said so as a first line of defense. They haven't.

Me too, but if this story is true and she and/or her staff are so incompetent that they can't take care of this basic-level crap, then maybe she shouldn't be President.

You say "so it begins" like this is a smear campaign. This is an egregious violation of federal cyber security laws and policies.

This is an egregious violation of policy.

Likely this is due to the fact that government email is subject to FOIA requests and disclosure laws and personal email isn't.

Or BlackBerry? I just can't understand it. I mean the head of my agency isisn't cabinet level but he has the same crappy laptop I do and an ancient BlackBerry. And emails all the time from his official account.

If I sent business emails from my personal address it would look extremely unprofessional. And I'm hardly anyone Powerful and Influential.

Not sure why scandal is in quotes. This is a huge deal and yes, a scandal.

Could she have never gotten a federal laptop? This is mind boggling.

We have annual trainings and quarterly reminders on this exact subject.

And it's not like we don't get regular reminders of this.

Well she probably didn't email them. But the number of people who should have know this was a BAD THING is huge. I'm a fed an I get reminded multiple times a year not to do this.

Yeah, contractor to the government with a .gov and .mil email. This is day one cyber security training for everyone at all agencies.

This is actually kind of egregious. Not just on her but on everyone's part. Like really? The president and speaker of the house didn't notice her emails were coming from AOL?

The reason an official would use a personal email for business is to avoid accountability and possible review. As someone who has had 3 .gov or .mil emails, the spirit of the law clearly states that all government business must be sent on government servers. Otherwise, you can't guarantee the security or validity of

I can't wrap my head around this. I am a mid level bureaucrat and the degree to which this violates a shit ton of laws/rules is made clear to me at least annually.

This isn't gonna go down well.

You have to remember that a white person you cannot experience real empathy. She wants to you acknowledge that you don't care about the children you work for.
