I’ve got two M50 powered E34's, one manual one auto. I agree, new cars are nice, quiet, fast, plus can massage and air condition your ass going down the road by themselves (!). But feeling small undulations in the road, feeling an old naturally aspriated engine come into its powerband and scream to redline, and

I see you have an E34, a star for you! And yes, the days are gone that real Benz’s rolled off the Stuttgart line.

The fundemental differences in automotive suspensions would render that impossible.

Its the never ending automotive dick measuring contest at its finest.

Numbers sell cars. Example: Ford- “we have done exhuastive testing and redesigned the rear suspension to improve both the rebound damping of the twin tube shock absorbers and reduced the spring rate in the leaf spring pack to provide a softer ride while unloaded” General Public- “crickets...........” Example two:

Thats a fucking V8 LFA if i’ve ever seen one.

I came here for the E28, was not disappointed. Go Raph!

Shit, they wont stay in Euro engines either. Within 5000 miles all 6 in my BMW were loose, retighten them only to find that now number 2 cylinder’s plug threads are ruined. Thread insert saved the day, I now use NGK V-powers.

A small, low boost, oil covered supercharger does nothing to change the fact that we are looking at an oldsmobile minivan. If it was free i’d sell it to the first guy who offered me 500$. CP at 3500$

I bought a well used 88 Ford Bronco because it was cheap and im an addict, A Bronco addict to be exact. I bought it from a couple that lived in a trailer that had a front yard of dirt and two screaming children, they tooled around in an old green saturn with an orange spray paint racing stripe, things were going well.

You had me at clownshoe. NP, but I may be a smidge biased.

I’ll be watching the NMRA livestream at work this morning. I remember going to the NMRA/NMCA shootout at Atlanta Dragway years ago after my senior prom, nothing like curing a hangover and 3 hours of sleep with screaming superchargers and race fuel.

Hadn’t heard of most of these. Except the S-cargo, courtesy of that shmuck DeMuro.

This is the website that you stumble across when your looking for super cheap parts for your beater car and once the page loads you are convinced you just gave your computer aids.

Waiting for the idiots to say “It would be better if it was a 7.3"

Im sure his fender found all the playtime at the sand dunes quite tireing.

Racing, modifications, and warranties will always be a grey area that some carmakers and their dealers will duke it out against customers over. But performing 1200$ worth of unauthorized work then holding a customers property because of it is a good way to get your manufacturer to pull the plug on doing business with

Wondering why this race baiting bullshit got reposted to Jalopnik.

I was a manager for a retail parts chain and now work in dealership parts. That being said, OEM is the only way to go. The way I do it (Ford Or BMW for me) is to get the OEM number (realOEM for the bimmers, Ford cataloging for the Ford stuff) and punch that in on google/amazon/ebay/craigslist/forum/pornhub/whatever

Im normally not that guy, but today I will be. How do vehicles get here if they are manufactured outside of the north american continent? Boats (and hoes). Apples to oranges I know, but I had to say it.
