Ya know what...... I’ll eat some crow here and agree with you. I don’t agree one bit with what the kid did but... That’s also coming from someone who’s spent many a night under or in my next “project”. I’ve yet to find a gear head who hasn’t had one hair brained, ridiculous, and possibly dangerous idea they haven’t

Not kicking the article, David. It was well done and is a good example of exactly what not to do. Safari builds themselves aren’t a problem. The mindset some people have is. Enjoy what you want. Camber all the things ya feel the need lol. But when a project has this many shortcuts and gets that dangerous... It’s time

I can back that. Done right, it’s absolutely cool and surprisingly functional. Done like this? Nope. That was a half-baked and very dangerous attempt.

I am all for letting people enjoy things. However, when those things endanger others? It’s time to pull back a bit and question your reasoning.

I’m usually fascinated by off the wall projects but... Thus was dumb. No amount of “money, a welder, and knowledge” will save you from decisions like this. If you have to take dangerous shortcuts to make something work, it’s time to stop.

There are cheaper ways to learn how suspension geometry works. This wasn’t a

4WD+ low range+lockers+CTIS=win

This Safari car thing needs to stop.

Is it bad that I like that murdered out test GT as much as the production GT?

I can’t give you enough stars for this post.

Not gonna get my hopes up here. Looks shiny... That’s about it. I want to be pleasantly surprised though. I really do.

Dude!! That looks fantastic! Well done!

This is 10lbs of nope in a 5lb bag. Crackpipe. Having worked on these motors many times in the past, I never want to touch one again. Regardless of what custom work is done, it’s a PT... I can find plenty of rewarding but still money pit cars to pull into the shop and throw my time at. Chrysler’s failed retro child is

Why is everyone trying to do $kay’s job?

New Edge V6 - Ponies under the hood implying “power”..... Does not compute.

Just got off the phone with a buddy of mine stationed at JBER Fire. Thankfully he’s good to go. Wasilla and Palmer got hit pretty hard and Eagle River has some issues. JBER is good so far though.

I’m thankful for the guys and gals I served 10 years with in the military, my family and my wonderful better half. She ether gives the go ahead or takes part in every car we get. And she’s cool with some serious garage time as well. When it comes to cars, I’ve been thankfull for every single one I’ve owned.

This is my mentality entirely. The few times I went to a CnC or another meet there were all of three of us who were enthusiast. We could cordially talk about track days or give each other pointers on work we were doing. Aaaaand then we’d watch the circus show start and promptly leave.

Yaaaaaay!! $kay is back!!
