just as Krackato pointed out, fighting games have actually made a come back. Super Street fighter 4 sold 1.6 million copies so I wouldn't say the genre is dying

I'm guessing you are using Hsien-Ko's super armor when calling her for effective assists. I still don't play her too much but that technique is very effective

MVC3 though has a pretty lenient learning curve compared to other fighting games. Well all I can say is practice and be sure to play a lot of offline to get better (you'd be surprised at what you do online tactics don't work offline)

its not always the case though as a lot of people invade because they want to duel. Its a lot of fun to goto 4.1 and just wait at the beginning. 9 out of 10 times a black phantom will show up and bow to me requesting a fight.
