@MrRainMan: I disagree. Perfection can only be attained through relativity. I challenge you to find an organ that does the human brain's job better than the human brain.

@Craigpt: not without my permission?

The problem with relating genetics to bits and bytes is that there is a great deal of redundancy.

@El Zorg: These types of comparisons make me vomit. It's like saying one race is less successful because there are less CEOs. It's useless, pointless gibberish.

@RomanForest: how on earth is that a double edged sword? Maybe for the ego of some schmuck who paid 2K for a soft lens.

First off, single speed fixed gear bike? With toe clips? What market are these guys even considering? It would HAVE to be tourist/bike-enthusiast hybrids. Those are the only people who need a bike, and would even want this death trap.

Meh

@slim934: I'm going to go on a limb here and point out that vast swaths of research funding never see peer review, and to also point out that economics does not take funding beyond buying computer and paying salaries and stipends.

@PapaGamer: Justified or not in your opinion, it was granted by a committee of anonymous peers who all deemed the research highly insightful and worthy of taxpayer dollars. You can't refute individual grants if you approve of the decision process itself.

Isn't the Maldives poised to go underwater within the next few decades. No way we're curbing CO2 emissions that fast.

LOL. who cares.

@xsbs: I completely disagree. While there are short-term more noble things to do with said money, if you want to help out humanity fastest, you need to develop DIRT cheap energy source. That's the sun and he can be harnessed without harming the environment.

@frigg: our thoughts exactly

I suggest that all of my dropped calls are due to apple censoring m conversations. Too cute. Too sexual. Too .... get a life.

@hawkeye18: I've thought about your idea for aprox 4.5" and I think it's actually quite awesome. If you're not already an engineer, become one. If you haven't decided to become a science microblogger, it would be a great hobby for you.

50 ccs? You're insane...

@shinjukuDLJ: 300,000 NEW home sales in the month of June. Yes, obviously mcmansions are still popular. Anything pre-owned however... nope.
