The inside of the Battlebots arena was the worst smell I've smelled in my life. Like 8 different types of burned electronics. Holy God.

Grousing about Noah not being African-American would look pretty myopic after they replaced Colbert with Wilmore.
A take so hot it melts tungsten. Nice to know Skip Bayless is on the AV Club.
I'm going to have to disagree with you here. Not sure what you mean by best, but Infiltrator is the most powerful (clearly) and while I understand that fun is subjective, Vanguard polls highest from almost everyone I've talked to about it. The design on the Vanguard is just incredible and I'm just cackling with joy…
I suppose I'll point out that the obvious Shakespeare to adapt into a 300 style movie would be Henry V, since it dramatizes the battle of Agincourt, which was basically the English version of Thermopylae. Not that anyone cares.
At least Shakespeare injected some nuance into the whole affair. The original versions of the play were just: "Teenagers boned and ruined everything."
Part of what I love about the show is that they do so many call backs for stuff that seems throw-away at the time, like Sev'ral Timez. If you pass on the episodes that are light on the core mythology, you're still going to miss all that stuff.
I thought that whole line about breadcrumbs and bread was basically saying "I'm not going to let this be Lost."
Also this summer.
So… switch to days?
Nobody understands Disney's scheduling. They have a show that is both very popular and a critical darling and they bury it with downright FOX-ian scheduling.
Sometimes you have to wonder how they convinced the Disney execs to let them make this show on Disney XD.
https://www.youtube.com/wat… Not an outtake, but the extended scene.
Joke answer: Matthew McConaughey in 10 years. Presumably still making incomprehensible car commercials and being the master of his craft.
I wanted so much to like this, but woof. Don't think I'll be back for episode 2.
That take is uncomfortably warm at best.
Winters in the PNW (if you aren't in the mountains) are very mild compared to most of the country. In terms of "places without winters" the Southwest would have water concerns if you were attempting to practice agriculture, and the winters in the South wouldn't look radically different from what you'd see in the…
I think Hawaii would be solid. The volcanoes are only on the big island, and beyond that you would only have to worry about the pretty infrequent tsunami or typhoon, and if you set up away from the coast those shouldn't really bother you. If you're on Oahu you would have a pretty good urban base to raid to as well. Of…
Yeah, but the last place I would want to live would be my hometown. Too much "I used to go there with my dead family/friends." That would be depressing as hell.
It's worth considering that we've only seen two episodes in the first season, so maybe this issue is addressed with a possible change in location.
