I didn’t expect there to be a supernatural explanation; I’m fine with the series ending up where it did. I just think that they rushed things to get there in the final episode.

If you’re talking about Jake Lloyd, I didn’t hate on the kid. I think he was dealt a horrible hand, and I’d agree with you that Lucas is largely to blame. The pic of Anakin I used was intended as a reference the latter, not the former.

It’s possible that his character is a composite (or maybe he plays both roles), but I’m betting on the toy leak being at least partially accurate because there are physical photographs of the actual box art, whereas the Disney.com info was posted and then…

If you’re interested his character’s name has been revealed by pics of the Captain Marvel action figure line that have leaked and that you can find online. His character has a well-established history with Carol Danvers in the comics, and I’d say that there’s a good chance that the trailer points to his MCU…
