I could watch a spin-off about Theo, actually. She was my favorite character, and it was kind of disappointing watching her take a backseat in the last couple of episodes. I thought her powers as an empath were going to be key at some point, but they really weren’t.

Now playing

It was a 30 Rock reference. Scott Adsit’s character Pete Hornberger claims to have been a former member of Loverboy and an Olympic archer. They did a pretty good job with the CGI for the former (the vid is set to the relevant time):

Hee hee. The Carter burn was all Pete Hornberger, but I love it when people recognize the account name. I thought it was a clever pun back when I was in grad school.

Back in 2005 a documentary was released called Punk Attitude (horrible name, pretty good doc) that included lots of interviews with artists that were in first and second wave punk bands, themselves, including Poly Styrene. Her interview segments were some of my favorite, so when I saw the “Get Involved, Internet” post

Yep. He was a man of many talents. He was going to be in the 1980 Summer Olympics, too, until Carter initiated the boycott. Stupid peanut farmer.

Ren is, in many ways, still a bit of a mystery, so portraying him as whiny baby or something could very well color the perceptions of the very same audience that’s meant to fear him come Episode IX.”

I didn’t realize that the AVC-in-Exile still kept a residence at Disqus proper. I thought everyone was hangin' at the Avocado.

Hughes also believes that 22 years (A Game of Thrones was first published in 1996) amounts to "several decades."

I wasn’t disagreeing with you on that point; of course the victim's family should be outraged. I was responding to the first part of your comment in which you said that you thought that it was strange that he wasn't held accountable for his crimes.

I remember reading about his case years ago. Basically after France deported him back to Japan the records of his case were sealed, so when Japan requested the documents regarding his trial France effectively refused to provide any. In the meantime in Japan he had been institutionalized for what was supposed to be for

Cool! Keith Phipps did an interview with Robert Forster that just got posted on Vulture, too.

In other corporate malfeasance news, our beloved Sean O’Neal has been amplifying this revelation about how Facebook vastly overreported views of embedded videos on its site:

“Of course, some ill-conceived stock incentive plan may be the 'official' reasoning for these financial troubles, but we all know this is actually part of a government-backed conspiracy to discredit DeLonge and To The Stars.”

Yeah, you got it, Puddin.’

With that headline and that header image I came looking for a nod to John Mulaney’s SVU-era Ice-T impression, and I’m going away happy. Good job, Dan!

Whatever do you mean? Why, it just makes sense that you should have to mark a review with a redundant tag for anyone to be able to readily see it. Kinja is a wonderful blogging platform and the AVC’s move to it has been an unqualified success.

As you can clearly see in this enhanced rendering of the photograph in which the intrusive light has been reduced to better reveal the object’s contours, the far right of the image reveals a cocoon-like structure. Notice the tell-ridges reminiscent of an invertebrate’s chrysalis. The Russo brothers’ lone descriptor,

I was making a dig at Kinja. The AVC switched to Kinja August 23, 2017, a day that will live in blah, blah, blah:

I do! It was as recent as August 22, 2017.
