Fairy nuff - but aside from extreme cases like FKA Twigs I'm not sure there's actually a difference between alt-R&B and regular R&B these days. Dontcha know Beyoncé's self-titled is tagged "Alternative R&B" on RYM?
I'll grant that this guy was getting super ahead of himself with "electronic music". But I'm pretty sure "cloud rap", as well as the emotional openness of some modern artists like Drake and Future, owes a lot to him. I can't imagine A$AP Rocky or Lil B being nearly so popular without Kanye paving the way first, y'know?
