I’d like to see the power requirements for this... People already have radiant heat driveways and they estimate costs around $200-600 per 1000 sq ft to operate. To low ball and make the math easy, we’ll go with 229$ a year per 1000 sq feet. That’ll make it cost $10,000 per acre. The airport in Omaha is 2650 acres.

This wouldn’t be economically feasible for any major roadways. The specific heat of water is so high, it would cost a fortune in electricity to melt the snow and ice away. This is also why that “why don’t we use flame throwers to melt away snow?” question is so silly. Chemistry is a bitch.
