Even if you look at his career past WICKER MAN and realize it wasn't the best of times…The man gave us one of the best horror films of all time. I hope he appreciated the fact how that one film help influenced an entire generation of filmmakers at the time. 2016 is really turning out to be one shitty year.

I don't know anything about the man past his times in the camps. But for my money: If you went through that kind of hell for so many years and saw the worst things imaginable…You kinda get a pass for whatever you say/do for the rest of your life.

Very sad to hear he passed away. He was a man who lost control of his professional life cause of how he handled HEAVEN'S GATE. I, for one, would love to see a biography film of sorts on hie professional and personal life.
