Interesting list and I'm shocked that BIRDMAN isn't anywhere need it. But it definitely makes me realize I didn't go out and see a lot of movies. I only saw 30 (with two more hopefully before the end of the year) which is about twenty-three less than last year. So this list definitely reminds me there is a lot I need

When John McCain and Mitt Romney offer valid opinions on this subject you know you fucked up.

Both solid episodes although the funniest I laugh at is int he commentary for "When Aliens Attack". After they destroy what they think is the mothership but realize it was the Hubble Telescope Ken Keeler's freakout is priceless:

That's the thing too. In the summer and prime Oscar season it is probably a great deal. The dead days from January to May? That is a hard sell.

Honestly I don't remember most of the trailers from this year. Whether it be from what I've seen or in general. Heck, I forgot how good that NIGHTCRAWLER trailer was until I saw it again on here.

So this is perfect casting.
In a movie where we are questioning whether it will work or not (except for Tom Hardy cause he's great in everything) it is nice to see an actor get cast perfectly.

This isn't a bad idea per say. I like to try and watch a movie once a week and, if the subscription is the high end, it is basically paying the equivalent for four movies. But if it is on the lower end then I could be saving $10 a month. Probably would need to have a career/job where it pays enough to make this

Apparently Sony is going to refuse to air this film entirely. Not on VOD, Streaming services, or even a DVD release. That's just fucking insane.

My favorite scenes of 2014, in no particular order:

Maybe NOAH should be 10 instead of 9 now that I think about it. Cause THE MONUMENTS MEN is so bland that it makes it a worse film.

While I haven't seen all the movies on this list I know that it is a solid one for 'Worst' of the year. I refuse to see a good chunk of them though because how terrible they are. Things like AMERICA, SAVING CHRISTMAS, and LEFT BEHIND are best to be forgotten.

As hilarious as the WE HATE MOVIES podcast was for JINGLE ALL THE WAY 2 I kept thinking to myself:

Went and saw FOXCATCHER last night. It was an enjoyable film but it takes a while for it to get going. Probably because two out of the three leads have complex, mental issues that we need to have time to get acquainted with them. But despite the pacing the performances really stood out for me. Steve Carell deserves

Not to defend either film in any way but it is weird a turd like ATLAS SHRUGGED PART III can be in contention while KIRK CAMERON'S SAVING CHRISTMAS isn't.

GEOSTORM aka 'Future episode for The Flophouse podcast'.

While I don't want to turn into a raging fanboy, I am actually shocked how close the Texans are to a wildcard spot. They've been playing pretty well and Watt continues to showcase why he is so deserving of Defensive Player of the Year (possibly MVP too if it wasn't for Rodgers playing out of his mind). But unlike say

Only read two on this list which are FIVE CAME BACK and THE DUELING NEUROSURGEONS. The former was pretty darn great and I'm a sucker for tales about the "Golden Age" of Hollywood. John Ford's WWII journey was probably my favorite of the five. The latter was a pretty solid read because Sam Kean is good at recapping

The pacing of these episodes always amazes me. Especially in "Hell is Other Robots" cause it moves pretty leisurely despite a lot being packed into it. The song though gets stuck in my brain so I curse at it for being devilishly addicting.

I just read this book about a month ago! Very interesting story about a disturbing man. I can totally see Aronofsky do this and it fits his mindset as a storyteller pretty well. See, these are the kind of films he should be doing instead of epics such as NOAH or sci-fi in THE FOUNDTAIN. He's much better as a filmmaker

I tried ZERO but wasn't a fan of it. But Bellaire was a standout, as always, even if it wasn't for me. I mean in general she's the 'Colorist of the Year' consider she does most of the comics today….Or seems like it anyways.
