In terms of comedy I do think The Middle is one of the best out there right now. Certainly one of the most underrated as, apart from this site, I don't see many people talk about it. Just a wonderful cast and with this current season, and last, it has really hit its stride. At first I thought it was just another take

The headline kind of underlines the fact that THE QUIET MAN is also getting into the registry this year. An amazing John Wayne/John Ford film especially considering it isn't a Western. That fight scene he has with Victor McLaglen is one of the best in film history in my opinion. Not my all time favorite film by this

Interesting mix of films on this list. I must admit that I haven't seen the majority of them so I got some catching up to do.

D'Angelo is so spot on with the ending of Captain Phillips. It's such a raw, unforgettable performance by Hanks and I truly believed how he acted at the end. That's how a normal person would react after being held hostage and also witnessing the death of three people. Even if he doesn't win an Oscar for the film the

WRONG and A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD came really close to be on my personal, top 10 list as the worst. WRONG had potential but it was 90mins of jokes that fell flat and a premise that didn't work. While A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD was just more proof that Bruce Willis is too god damn old to be doing these kinds of movies. That

SNL this year has gotten a really good mix of hosts and musical guests this season so far. Maybe that's why this year has been particularly strong as they know they are going after solid, comedic people to run the episode.

I love Fitzgerald's life in the Hollywood scene and it's such a shame he didn't live long enough to finish The Last Tycoon. What's there of it is a pretty solid look into the Studio System era of filmmaking. I'm down for a series even though I don't think there is a rough idea on how Fitzgerald was going to finish it.

If Rogen and Goldberg are fans of the source material then that might be a good thing. But I can't think of any two people less to do a series based on such an emotionally charged series. Yes, there are a lot of funny images and moments in Preacher but when I think of that series I think of highly dramatic & romantic

My Father is a huge fan of It's A Wonderful Life. So much so that it has replaced Christianity as the thing we focus on most for the Christmas season. I can't imagine he is going to be pleased to hear his all time favorite movie is getting a completely unnecessary sequel.

Sweet!

I guess they can keep the DVDs or something.

It's right after Homer leaves the jail at the beginning of the third act. Hans Moleman is being comforted by Rev. Lovejoy cause he's about to get the chair. When Moleman asks if it's right for a local jail to execute people Lovejoy says the line.

I agree with Matt Groening that the line "From this point on there will be no talking" is a fantastic joke. You could end any scene with that line no matter what the context is.

I thought this was a very strong movie. So much so that it is easily the best superhero movie of the year. Strong performances by Hiddleston and the supporting cast. Loved Dennings and Skarsgard in this with the latter stealing the movie at points with his weirdness (and nakedness). The action was pretty good and Alan

Well it doesn't make me wanna buy a Dodge Durango but the ads are so damn funny. I cannot believe he did 70 of them! I imagined he did like, 10 tops and then did a variant on them all since he probably adlibbed like crazy. (Each spot does seem to have a full minute extension on YouTube.)

For some reason I keep forgetting just how great this movie is. Every time I see it I laugh my ass off and I agree it might be Bill Murray's best movie. But once I see it I forget about it and when I watch it again I find myself wondering why I don't think about it often.

I was gonna say how ridiculous it was Gilligan wasn't going to showcase Saul AFTER the events of Breaking Bad. That's the only thing I was disappointed in that the penultimate episode showed him leaving for good but we didn't get some sort of finale with the character. I wanna see him as a manager of a Cinnabon

Funny how Bob Hoskins is going to be remembered in two, infamous films involving childhood icons.

No tribute to what is the funniest Bill Cosby impersonation of all time?

I gotta say I am enjoying this season so far. Probably one of the strongest starts to any season in a very long time. What I like about it is that the ideas and sketches have gotten stranger over the years. They always had weird ideas or had the final (12:55) sketch be strange. But now it seems like they are going
