I'm not saying this would have been a good idea, and it wouldn't have been. But if they hired Brolin then it would confirm my theory they were gonna go for a much older and gruffer Batman. Considering they're using the Frank Miller logo for Batman it wouldn't have been that far off to also say he could be also

Well his books are hilarious and if you love his style of humor in his episodes then you'll love them too. Not sure if they are really big in terms of sales but I have them all and I can't get enough of them.

Yet another fantastic John Swartzwelder episode. It feels like Season 6 and 10 are the high points of his career cause those are where my favorite episodes of his are.

Very poor timing on that.

I was TheNextChampion if you're curious.

A bit off topic but does anyone who go on this site also frequent IFANBOY.COM?

15 titles is insane! I mean I buy twice that a month but to start off with? That's a huge gamble and waste of money if you don't know what to get your first go.

The key difference is that when events like Secret Invasion happened the books did become fodder. Usually random stories that had no real significance to the plot.

Sean Murphy should win an Eisner alone for his story in B&W. Every single panel of that was jaw dropping gorgeous. You could look for hours with each shot of the Batmobile and see tiny details on the body or dashboard.

I don't think Adams story was terrible, I just think he laid the message a bit too thick. I do like the idea of Batman feeling like a zombie because he can't do jack shit when it comes to real world issues. But the story was absolutely gorgeous even with rough, sketchy pencil layouts (ala Joe Kubert).

I only picked up two issues to start up Villain's Month

WHA!?

THE LOST CITY OF Z was a very good book and I recommend anyone who hasn't read it to give it a shot. So I'm excited to see an adaptation in the works.

I must admit, other than LINCOLN I don't think I ever saw a movie with him in it. So I can't say if this is the greatest decision in the world or not. Then again, his voice is going to be enhanced probably to the point where it won't be as easy to tell it's him.

Jesus Christ! How many of these things can one man do!?

That's a good joke.

Sigh.

It would be "The Wizard of Evergreen Terrace" and "Homer Simpson in: Kidney Trouble".

That book "The Simpsons: An Uncensored, Unauthorized History" has been nitpicked to death and it doesn't seem too accurate. But the author does have some stories right and I believe the 'No Homers' entry is one of them. Despite what the commentary says the writers really did hate 'No Homers' and tried to legally shut

This is another episode where I feel it is highly underrated historically. Although I'm seeing 240 comments above me right now I bet most fans don't recall this right off the bat. Hell, most fans today probably don't know about it because this is almost twenty (fucking) years old!
