This. WWI was a tragedy - nobody wanted that outcome to happen. Not even close. It was supposed to be as small and brief a conflict as the Franco-Prussian War, over in a few months with minimal casualties, like every other European war after the Napoleonic Wars ended.

If you look at the highest point of the mountain on the right side of the video, at the beginning of the video, you can see the boulder come loose and start rolling.
