I’m Jewish and grew up in Westchester County represented by this guy, and man, what a putz he is. Until Trump became president, every year he would make sure to get an aisle seat for the state of the union so that he could be see on TV shaking the president’s hand.

One day in fifth grade, I really had to pee while on the playground at recess. I didn’t want to waste any of the precious 43 minutes of recess I had so I came to the decision to strategically let a little pee out to ease the pressure. That worked for a few minutes before I had to do it again, and ultimately I just

Sicilian is the absolute best pizza there is, and the best slice I’ve ever had remains my hometown favorite of Sal’s Pizzeria in Mamaroneck, NY.

I did finish it. And I’m simultaneously thrilled to be done with it but also drained of the ability to read anything else.

This was a weird reading year for me because a little more than half of it was dedicated to The Wheel of Time. Other than that, the best book I read was probably Bad Blood. The levels upon levels of scam involving some of most prominent people in America (James Mattis on the board!) is mind blowing. The book is deeply

I read This Republic of Suffering  a few years ago and it is absolutely stunning. Just incomprehensible amounts of death.

I moved to Philly to over the summer for my partner who started grad school at Penn. I also don’t particularly like basketball, but nonetheless I found myself at this game last night. The Palestra was absolutely rocking, and despite my all around disinterestedness, it was a lot of fun to watch Penn beat a team that it

Goddammit get better, Drew.

It caused me physical pain

Because he’s the evening/night guy, The Schmooze gets the absolute weirdest calls. One time I heard a guy call in demanding the Knicks cut JR Smith because he was facing murder charges.

My corollary to the “my boss followed me on twitter question,” is that my boss followed me on twitter, and she’s a huge hashtag resistance poster.

I would say most I’ve come across have given samples, but a few high profile bars (mostly in NYC) have denied me.

I wholeheartedly agree with this list (especially about going to bars alone! I love bringing a book to beer bar on a Saturday afternoon). But I’ve come across a lot of bars that won’t give out samples. I generally know enough to order something I’ll like, but it can be frustrating if I don’t recognize anything on them

This is an outrageously bad take.

There’s a bar by my office that is more of a bar that has good beer than a beer bar that I go to on occasion. They drive me nuts because they put out one menu at the start of each month that lists every beer that will be on draft at some point in that month. You have have to have one or two backup orders in mind

The tail article is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read, and I frequently revisit it. So thanks for that.

Was literally just coming to the comment section to yell about how good Palatine Pils is, but you beat me to it!

i’m moving to philly in a few months, what neighborhood should i live in?

what’s books are you reading?

Trader Joe’s sells these! They call them “Teeny Tiny Avocados,” and they’re the perfect size.
