Preaching to the choir on this one. This concept of absolute safety is mind-blowing with some people. Life is risky, we can’t put bubble wrap on everything. You hit the nail on the head about slim risks. Driving a car is more dangerous than flying or riding a train, but people want to feel safer on both of those.

Amtrak is already a weak business and your proposal is to make it even weaker by instigating baggage checks? TSA at the train tracks? Maybe we should just put everyone in bubble wrap. Are we going to start putting a security check when people get on freeways? Should we put bomb dogs along the tracks as well in case

Unless you’re deriving a specific benefit (daily driver, weekend car, etc.) from keeping the WRX, get rid of it. If you haven’t spent a significant amount of blood, sweat, tears, and cash working on the rex then who cares what someone else does with it? $5-7k in the bank is MUCH better than a car sitting in the

Death wobble did them in.

Completely disagree. Having past experience - both successes and failures - is what helps lead to future success.

My stepdad keeps trying to get me to purchase a GS so I can go riding with them. I don’t get it. If I am going to go camping I’d rather just suck it up and drive to the location and bring the 450 and have a dedicated off-road bike. Lugging a heavy SOB through the whoops does not sound enjoyable.

Ahh interesting. The way he was talking about it there is easy access.

From what he was saying it is easy access to the bulbs. If it was more involved than that I can understand.

Ouch. My gf will go get her oil changed and be excited about the new lightbulb fluid they put in so her connections were better.

Haha I have not. Toyota Prius is up there with owning a mini van; not something I plan on ever owning or dealing with. I hate when they design cars and don’t factor in accessibility to wear items that need frequent replacement.

True story. Think I need to start a lightbulb replacement stand on the side of Broadway.

Was getting a lift into downtown and my driver relayed the following with regards to his Prius:

You are wise beyond your years. /continuedsarcasm

Going fast in a straight line is the most important spec a car can have damn it. Why would you want something that has a fast attack time?

God damn it. This is gold.

They weren’t using their turn signal so they didn’t know they did something wrong.

I can kind of see it, but would default to it not being MKV of the Jetta.

Came to post this. I was a fan of previous generation body style, but this new design is not sitting well with me.

I started watching this with high hopes since I didn’t see anyone lining up in front of the car once airborne, but was let down the second I saw the guy move up close to get that wicked video shot. My old age must be causing my balls to shrivel up because no way in hell would I be near those damn launch points.

I’m not worked up. Pointing out that a video of this nature is hardly quality evidence. Note that I am not a Lewis Hamilton fan. My comments were directed at what is referred to as burden of proof. Didn’t watch video so I couldn’t tell you if it showed public roads or not. Once again, I was using my comments to stress
