As taste is in the mouth of the beholder, I won't try to claim that this is the most tasteful car, but there is just something understated about its beauty that suggests its performance and pedigree. None of that MC or sport stuff, pure GranTurismo or S please.

As far as I'm aware this car was approved under the Single Vehicle Approval scheme in either 2008 or 2009. I believe that Cars International Kensington bought it at auction by Brooks at Goodwood where this photo comes from.

But it has 2 seats.

Didn't this have a second seat set behind and to the left of the driver?

The headrest is mounted to the hinged portion of the canopy, or the surround structure. I haven't seen any literature or photos suggesting a single seat option. From what I can tell, the author of the wiki page is making a supposition based on the form of the car. None of the linked sources mention a single seat.

You you may be able to see to a little better in this picture, but the Tramontana does have a minimal backseat.

This is the interior of 28R, the Gulf liveried F1 GTR Longtail.

It started life as a GTR race car with one seat and was then converted for road use. I don't know if McLaren added the extra two seats when they worked on it or not.

McLaren converted a F1 GTR Longtail to be road legal for a customer. I'm not sure if they added the two extra seats or not, but as single seaters go it's pretty hard to beat this.

Nice price, but I'm Hungry for the Wolf (sburg) Edition.

But Vatanen hit the wall and Robby didn't. Robby continued to race at Pike's Peak and in 1994 set the open wheel record at 10:05.850 which, I believe, stands to this day. Comparing drivers by what is a single lap is pointless. Maybe one driver truly is better than the other, but using only this as a evidence is faulty

Don't Forget Robby Unser. Much of the footage in Climb Dance is from his run in 1989. He was a little over a second slower than Vatanen, but it was still a magnificent performance.

2008-2012 Audi A3 3.2 Quattro

Nice and simple, the 1963 Corvette.

If I ever find two replicas, I'll send one to you. With only four race cars and one road car built, I'll never see an original. The one pictured above is a replica either made for The New Avengers or based on the car in that series.

Yes

I've always preferred the M100. It just sounds to me more like it has more of a soul than any MB engine since.

Me too. On a related note, has anyone ever found a better photo of the road going car? This is the best I have found.

It may not be as great as the original, but I'd take it over any Ferrari

Maybe I missed it, but shouldn't this have been posted by now?
