“Any resemblence to actual Star Trek is purely coincidental and non-intentional.”

You either die a fan or you live long enough to see your once beloved franchise brought to you by the director of The Fast and The Furious.

AND, the Doctor-Donna as the best hybrid, the hybrid we deserve, the only hybrid we need.

Sorry... I do my work in Logic Pro, which is ONLY available in OS X. I also use Pro Tools and Sibelius on both Windows and OS X, and I’m telling you straight up, the OS X versions of those programs work 100 times better. Sure, I could use alternative software to replace Logic, but Logic is, by far, one of the best

The “MacBook” MacBook is, indeed, dumb. The keyboard is a crime against keyboards as well. The air and pro are still fantastic though.

Dude, even before you went off the rails at the end there - WTF are you talking about? I have literally never had this exchange.

85% of people who TRULY understand and properly utilize the technology in any of these devices is using an Android phone and a Windows laptop. Why? Because they are more cost effective, and because we don’t care about our technology being a status symbol to show off to our friends.

I don’t think Windows is a requiremen. If this thing ran real Mac OS X, then a Pro moniker would be appropriate.

Eff off. I run an HPC cluster for work. I tried to use an Android phone (top of the line one - HTC One M7) for 2 years. It sucked. I've tried two other cheaper Android phones, since, on my own dime. They also sucked. I’m back to iPhone.

$1200 for doing “light work” is utterly unacceptable.

So which of you is the sadist that makes you watch and which is the masochist that puts up with it? I liked LotR, and I love Martin Freeman, but I gave up on The Hobbit halfway through the second one and haven’t looked back.

Just a note: Sherlock on the BBC preceded Elementary on CBS by approximately 2 years, so it would be hard for the former to “rip off” the latter. Chalk it up to zeitgeist and let it go.

You beautiful bastard.

I don’t want it to be ‘hard sci-fi’ I want it to be consistent over the course of the episode. It just feels stupid when you watch it for 15 minutes and then it basically goes ‘all you just watched doesn’t matter’. Also given how this is largely funded through licence fees and yet they pay for stuff like this while

If only I had had the foresight years ago to file a patent for a “device that makes its user look like a complete tool.” I would have been able to sue Segway, these guys, and Google when they released Google Glass.

I basically spend Arrow episodes texting locations to an American friend.

That was then...it looks like this now:

WHAT. That has wheels! LIES, ITS ALL LIES.

3,750 light-years away is peanuts compared to the observable universe, let alone the entire universe (which may even be infinite).
