VLC playback quality is quite decent however MPC Home Cinema with madvr can get you best video playback quality. That's what I use now.

Great inspiring story! However if you have some budget there's always way to make your dream project faster by "outsourcing" it to professionals.
I'm expecting from Delicious 2 new features: eliminating duplicates in search (which is really frustrating now) and saving offline copies of webpages (so I can reach my bookmark in the case original site is down).

For the similar reason as DeletionPedia I started Design Wiki. Quite often I can't access necessary information because original blog post is unavailable or deleted. And sometimes I feel really upset following tutorial to discover mistake on tenth step, so tutorial can't be completed.
