Perhaps you’re not aware of what this guy is doing? He’s shutting down civil rights, nixing free press, grabbing expanded powers, and setting himself up as a dictator. It’s complicated, obviously, but military coups of elected Islamist despots aren’t strictly undemocratic when it’s to hold new elections and/or restore…

“A military coup to preserve democracy.” Yep, in the case of Turkey it wouldn’t be first time a coup transfered power to civilian authorities, nor the second, or the third... In Turkey this used to happen about once a decade.

Just to be real for a moment: I lost my brother to a car accident about two years ago. I actually do this: I race his ghosts. And I play his saved Far Cry games. It’s not just a dumb meme to everyone. I miss him, and it helps me remember. RIP Stephen L. Grogg.
