Man, I pretty much loved every anime you just mentioned...

I'm fairly sure it's 26 episodes (typical for anime TV shows). And yes, I agree that we haven't seen the last of Hoka Inumuta. After all, he was simply collecting data on Ryuko to no doubt exploit in a future, 3-star Goku uniform transformation and battle!

Wow, you aint lying! I absolutely adored Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest and its amazing soundtrack. In fact, I'd say it could only be topped by its successor, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (perhaps the greatest 2D game ever made)!
