I volunteer at an animal shelter, and can confirm that a lot of people that adopted dogs should never have done so. Despite being literally closed for two full months during 2020 we adopted out more dogs than we ever had in a year.

I think a writer here needs to follow you , but it only works in this subsection (i.e. I’m grey on lifehacker/Jalopnik , and since the writers /commenters there dont look at pending messages much ,my messages stay grey ).You pretty much have to wait for a/ someone who isnt greyed to reply/star your comment
