Yeah it’s one of those things where you’re glad it’s there to show what those folks have done but it shouldn’t have to exist in the first place

Nintendo is oddly one of the more regressive and progressive AAA publishers in the space. They still have their fare share of problems regarding game preservation among other common issues in the industry but it is refreshing to hear stories like this.

It’s honestly a shame how poorly paid a lot of retail workers are who have to deal with shit like that meanwhile the executives are more interested in peddling NFT nonsense rather than making their stores a better place to work. Sorry to hear that happened to you and hopefully you’re doing better.

As someone with a PS5 I totally agree with you. I got mine because I wanted to play some of my PS4 games with better performance but with developers still making PS4/ xbone ports of games there isn’t a whole lot of incentive to upgrade 

If you play it on PC just be aware that it has stuttering issues on a lot of rigs. I had to stop playing after while because it got so bad.

It really seems like this was one of the worst times to release new hardware given not only supply chain issues due to the pandemic, but also the economic struggles folks are dealing with the world over.

Those folks have already been paid. Most of the profits from the game sales typically go to executives. Unless Avalanche has a profit sharing model like Gearbox the rank and file employees won’t see a cent from the game’s profit.

You completely missed what I just said. My rig can run games as old as Jedi Fallen Order at 4K 60 fps. Shader compilation stutter affects games at all resolutions and graphics settings, it’s poor optimizing that has been causing this to happen on so many games. If you don’t believe me look no further at the work…

The stuttering was related to poor shader compilation. My rig has a 3080 paired with a 5800x, which should be more than enough to run it at 1440p but like a lot of AAA pc ports lately it was haphazardly done.

Hopefully the pc port of this doesn’t stutter worse than me on my first date

This mode was so much fun to play in Yakuza 0. They should legit make a whole game out of this mode.

While it’s unfortunate that the game is poorly optimized and limited by the switch’s hardware I don’t think Nintendo is going to change their development practices as long as this series sells like hot cakes.

Straight up, hopefully their RDNA 3 gpus are much more reasonably priced and give decent performance compared to NVIDIA.
