What a crock of shit. Tesla isn’t the Red Cross. They care about money. That’s the point. Musk didn’t start PayPal as part of some master plan to eventually start Tesla to then get rid of gas-burning cars. He’s always in business to make money.

You have to understand that people with money always finance cars when the interest rates are low. Anyone with excellent credit can get sub 2% auto loans right now so you take the cash you would spend on the car and invest it. Past years would have returned 5-12%/yr on that money in reasonable investments.
