Is he a league average GM? First of all, he's got a track record of precisely two years, and he (and ownership) have clearly expressed with their words and actions that they're embracing a longer-term plan. So it seems a little premature to judge his track record as GM, much less to say he's league-average or worse.

You can tell Albert is really worked up about this because he's dropped the stupid, snarky asides that he's always trying to cram into his sentences.

Then what's the argument against Hinkie? If the best retort against his plan is, "He's just doing what every other GM would do," then the complaint against him still boils down to, "He's nerdy and sanctimonious!" which is a stupid thing to write such a long rant about.
