I don’t say that the directors don’t matter, but in Star Wars the writing is more important, the directors need to be able to communicate to the actors how the characters should be played and how the lines should be delivered - it’s not about style or ‘vision’ - these are, for the most part, built into the whole…

I’m not sure if anyone has ever really cared about who was directing an episode of a Star Wars TV show - they are all equally bland - competent but utterly unremarkable (even with the constraints of TV budgets/time).
I have no opinion on Howard directing a Star Wars film - if she does one I’m sure she’ll do a fine…

this is NOT a good show - it’s not terrible, just bad, and it feels like they’re doing what a ton of other shows to - streeeeeeeeeeecth things out as much as possible to get a full 10…

While I agree with you, there are FAR bigger problems with this TV show, to say nothing of it’s failure as an adaptation.

I’ve been a fan of Thor in the comics since the Walt Simonson days and was really pleased with what they did with him in the first film, a good mix, a muscle bound oaf that needs to learn some lessons etc etc...but after Dark World he’s just turned into a buffoon, I can’t take him seriously, can’t seem to care about…

the poor don’t have the responsibility to police the rich - but they do have the responsibility to hold their elected officials accountable for the laws they pass. Something that they don’t do in huge numbers every day.
