No person who speaks like that will be taken seriously in real life. What they want is another thing that I couldn't give a flying fuck-and-a-half about.

I was thinking the same thing! I'd love to see that set.
So Jezebel is pro strippers, prostitutes, dominatrixes and other sex workers, but anti naked sushi models?
True, but it's not as though we're limited to addressing only one injustice at a time. We can call them out as we see them too.
I don't think he meant it maliciously, but at the same time I really don't get how people can not realize that phrase is offensive. With terms like "gypped," I can at least see how it's possible that someone might not realize that the term refers to the Gypsy/Roma people in a derogatory way. But Indian Giver? Seems…
The term "person of color" means any person who is not white.
And this is just the price I pay for being a female in a public space?
I agree. This article doesn't seem to be written from a perspective understands the Modern Orthodox movement.
Totally a tangent, but I just completed my conversion. If you ever have any questions or want someone to commiserate with (hopefully you won't need to, I just had a few unfortunate experiences with my original sponsoring Rabbi) PM me.
You needed your ID? I bought mine when I was 17 back in 2005 and the pharmacist just gave me a pitying look and asked me if I wanted to put it on my parent's insurance or pay cash.

I'd just like to point out that "quit your job if you don't like the company you work for's social policies" is not an economic luxury that I would imagine is available to most of the people working in the fast food industry.
I'm genuinely confused by the shock and outrage this has generated. Not so much on Jez, but across the internet as a whole. Chick-fil-A has been openly anti-gay and just generally terrible for years. I mean the place is closed on the Sundays. Did everyone really think that they've just been nursing a bad Saturday…
It's really easy to believe that "nothing is sacred" when the sanctity of your body and your freedom are never legitimately threatened.
Really? I've never seen the show, but in his stand up I always felt like he portrayed her much like he portrayed himself, as a person who was very unhappy in a dysfunctional marriage.
I completely agree. I know a lot of people who rushed to get married for the insurance.
While I certainly agree that women should be informed about every medical decision that they make, whether a woman chooses to give birth in their home or in the hospital doesn't feel like something I should pass judgment on. This seems like something that should really fall into the your body, your choice category.
I get why people want to believe in a deity. Hell I'd love to be wrong about god being a product of our fear of mortality.
