This still boggles me.

After reading through the grimoire cards, I'm not convinced that the story is a "train wreck" it's just incomplete and vague. My opinion is that Bungie still has the opportunity to flesh this out and create a deep and interesting story from where it's at today.

I love this update. I've enjoyed the little I've done in the raid, the two new strikes are awesome, they did better work on the story (though I feel they could have done a lot more it is better imp).
