This is what I picture the future roadways filled with when we move to autonomous cars. Big boring utilitarian living room appliances on wheels. At least accidents, road rage, and congestion will be thing of the past.

Were you able to insect the impact absorption layer (foam/plastic mesh/collapsible frame) under the flexible bumper on the Mazda? It might be a different story. It may not take another hit like that. I just looks okay after the cover pops back out.

Twice on suspected impaired drivers and once for the same guy I kept seeing practically running people off the road on the way home from work.

We need mandatory drivers tests every other year for those 60 and over.
