Second Gear: So when I can expect to see a knock-off Model S selling for 1/5 the cost of a real one?

Quick, someone put an exploding die packet in a cell phone case. Or inside an easily stolen package with a GPS tracking device strapped to the back of someones bike.

With all the anecdotal evidence the pro-guns guys reply with... I’d like to add two for the other side.

Look up what happened to the owner of She’s A Pistol gun shop in Shawnee, KS. You’d think that if owning a gun were a deterrent, being in a gun shop would the the last place a criminal would be and taking on someone

Does this mean we are officially done with Euro taillights trend? Not sure why people keep buying aftermarket lights in that style. Please stop. It was old in 2002 when Nissan did it.

Kansas plates?

I’m not sure how it happened. I was wondering the same thing myself. The weight of the hood alone makes the secondary latch catch. I wondered if it had some kind of poor front end collision repair done.

That’s nothing, she could still see. Just last week I passed driver of a Nissan Rogue who’s hood flew up into the windshield on the highway. Talk about a code brown moment. One minute you could see, the next, a loud noise scares the $hit out of you and you can’t see to pull over.

When none of us are allowed to drive in the future, at least having the drunks not driving will be the benefit.

Okay, the Southwest employee needs to have some decency. Keep it to yourself.

Wait that’s not your DD? I would be driving it every day. My wife gave me the option to sell my ‘02 Camaro (the toy) and my ‘12 Impala (DD), and then get a G8 or an SS. Basically combining the two cars. Then my DD would end up being my toy as well. I was torn on whether to do it or not. I have two kids. Once I saw how

I hate you.

-Just kidding-

I’m jealous. NP

This is definitely one model that GM does not need to do any “badge engineering” on.

What year of Impala were you driving? What are you comparing it with?

Airbags are a supplemental device to cushion your head and limbs when decelerating during an accident. They’ve done studies to show they reduce fatalities by about 25% in head-on collisions versus those with only safety belts (if I remember correctly).

I assume you can you turn the passenger airbag off?

Self-driving cars might be the end of Auto insurance as we know it.  It would end up so cheap, it would be akin to renters insurance. (as long as we’re not driving)

I wonder when insurance companies will make it mandatory to have the little computer chip that monitors your driving.  Not that it would keep these kinds of people off of the roads.

Actually, most colleges with an engineering program get to build a kick-ass auto cross cars. It’s called Formula SAE. There is also Baja, fully electric/solar, human powered vehicles, one year GM gave out Silverados for Ethanol conversions. Just depends on what kinds of competitions are available that year.

I was detailing a customer’s cars at their home once. There was a wrecked Corvette in the garage. Come to find out their son was on his third car. He originally totaled a Blazer “missing a deer”, so they bought him a Camaro. He totaled the Camaro so they got him a Corvette. The Vette wasn’t totaled, but I guess the

My point was not to need to engage the assassin? I’m not sure about your analogy...

A kid with a Corvette who is responsible wouldn’t get into any trouble. It’s just unlikely for there to be a kid like that.
