What? Now you’ve lost me. VW is being fined and investigated for violating clean air laws. The reasoning and science behind them are clear and we have decades of real observed experience in smog heavy areas like LA, as well as around the world in Paris or Beijing.
Why exclude VW? Since both are guilty of disabling pollution controls, both get hit with the same fines and penalties.
