Not too much plot-wise, but I think they got much closer to Dirk's book character.

The BBC made a version which is probably closer to the books and worth a go!

Definitely agreed Dirk needed to be a bit older, a bit less charmingly naive, and probably a bit more of a deliberate jerk, rather than an over-excited puppy kind of jerk. Despite that, I thought it was great.

Of he course he can!

I know you're not actually joking but pretending you were was making me feel better about the world.

You're committing, and I love it.

Haha, very good! A+ impression of an overreacting men's rights activist! You really nailed it.

Inkstrike is definitely the way to go!

What do you think the typical MRA reply would be?

I stuck with the roller at first but switched to the gun when I was getting a bit better at the game but still not really winning - it definitely helped. When I went back to the roller it totally wasn't for me anymore. Don't even get me started on the inkbrush or the bucket.

"Often, these albums are bombarded with website tomatoes for reasons you can't necessarily hear through speakers: the band changes their sound and image to court a new crossover audience, perhaps, or attempts a mid-career shift into ill-advised territory. Or maybe they start writing songs about Moses in hip-hop slang.

Ah! Splatoon is an absolute treat and one of the best games on the Wii U by far, I'm really excited for more of it! Plus a beefed up solo mode, and a proper local multiplayer. The only thing I'll miss is tapping the map to warp to another player's location, but you can't have everything in life.

Troy Mclure's piano solo in "Stop the Plant of the Apes, I Want to Get Off".

Obvious answer for very good reason.

I've really never played a dating sim before - I know a bit about them but I've never actually sat down and played through one. SO I'm excited about it.

Plus that one where Wesley also gets executed for walking on the grass. That one's mint.

Did you play the original? There's single-shot and automatic weapons in that one, so I'd be surprised if they ditched the automatics for the new one! I was best with rollers at first, but it's worth switching to the guns - you can spread ink pretty quickly and they're easier for kills - I never quite mastered the ink

Still confused why you state-side casuals insist on calling those weird things biscuits.

Until Splatoon 2 comes in the post, I'll be bingeing on the bargains I drunk-bought from the PS store last night. Goat Simulator, Hatoful Boyfriend, Inside (which is stunning and an amazing way of building on Limbo, which I didn't think was possible), Star Wars Battlefront, and maybe a bit of No Man's Sky.

Yeah we're not doing so great in the UK at the moment either. Mental health care is available on the NHS (i.e. free at point of use) but the waiting lists are so long. People are waiting months, even years, to talk to someone who can actually do something for them, and our government is determined to cut funding even
