I dunno, I think people on the left are generally more like "you shouldn't use that language because it's problematic, but if you can work out how to express your opinion without being grossly offensive then by all means go ahead and we'll discuss it" whereas people on the right are more like "KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT".

Just watched a comparison between Wii U and 360 and tbh I think the golden hue over the 360 version makes the game look EVEN MORE piss-soaked.

Haha, my partner hates Zelda - mostly because she hates Link. One of the few games she'll not just tolerate but play with me is Mario Kart 8, where I always play as Link - she hates his fist-pumping celebration and insists on calling him either a dickhead or a smug bro-dude.

Nah I can't deal with him. Whiny little knob. Though weird coincidence, I also just recently played through Black Flag last year - enjoyed it far more than I thought I would from the odd half hour here and there with other AC games. As a pirate game, I had a whale of a time.

I think it's definitely on the overrated side, but it is worth a go! A bit Splinter Cell-like, yeah, but a bit more open-world and with a mix between FPS and third person. The story is stupid and the voice actors are garbage, you'll want to skip all the dialogue and the context-dependent conversations are painful, but

Oh, you're in for a treat! One of my favourite Zeldas by far. I was replaying it lately but then broke my elbow, so I can't really swing the sword too well at the moment. :(

Yeah you're right, it does look distinctly piss-drenched.

I'm playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution on the Wii U because I'm years behind the rest of the world and make poor life choices and it is a fun game but I hate the main character with his stupid pointy face and weedly voice and generally overbearing gruff-white-guy-who-just-wants-his-kids/wife/ex-back attitude. Also why

Am I alone in thinking that the "they need to stick to _________ and stop making political statements!" argument is only ever directed towards progressive statements by people with more right-wing views? Like, more left-leaning people may disagree with a view, may boycott, may be garbage humans in response as well,

The service station Ginsters pasty, oh boy.

Helps when your parents have connections of course, most of us couldn't get the worst pitch ever written signed off as a TV show, no matter how good our last short was.

Man you guys need to update your go-to Los Campesinos! description seeing as how they're one of the consistently bleakest bands around atm.

Holy balls how did I not know that Rachel Rubino was fronting a new band, and that Dan Yemin was in it? This makes me sad for myself but happy for my ears.

Surely the weapons dish thingy is the Death Star's equivalent of a highly visible land mass?

Actually looks like a pretty good product?

Fun namedropping facts: I'm from Alan Moore's hometown and always used to see him around - still do on occasion when I go home for a visit. He used to go to local standup comedy shows with his wife, and would delight nerdy comedians by laughing at one of their jokes. My favourite thing, though, is that my mate's

Wow.

Torn re: Cards Against Humanity, their politics seem sound but their game's humour is built on a horrible punching down that seems at odds with it.

Yes, definitely agreed on your last point!

"More like Boringals" is the laziest burn ever and I am absolutely 100% stealing it for the next time I talk to one of the three diehard AFI fans left in existence, bravo.
