Didn't anyone else notice this (bolding mine): “mulling the reintroduction of a bill that would curb the ability of
the federal government to penalize discrimination against LGBTQ or
unmarried citizens.

Here's another: in Saskatchewan, getting pulled over by the cops is called "getting rolled." It's a weird saying and I'm always having to explain it here. "I got rolled last week, they gave me a ticket." You get some confused looks.

I didn't like Lair of Dreams as much as The Diviners, but I'm crossing my fingers for a great third (final?) book.

OH MY GOD, I haven't heard that in years. My dad used to constantly burst out with that randomly. Now that he's dead, I kind of miss it, I have to say.

I'm finding we have a lot more regional slang that I originally thought. I've never heard of May long weekend being called May 2-4. Here on the prairies I've only heard it called "May long".

I live in Alberta now and I have heard people here say 'hey' but I also lived in Saskatchewan for a long time and have heard people there say it too. …..maybe if we all didn't move from province to province we could keep our slang straight? Maybe the Albertans I hear saying it are originally from Saskatchewan???

Lived here all my life, for 30-something years, all over the country, and I have only heard people say "oot" and "aboot" in the Maritimes. The stereotypical Canadian accent is basically a Maritimes accent. And even that's not fair because each Maritime province has its own accent and slang.

I'm Canadian and I've heard both—but mostly when I lived in the Maritimes. I occasionally hear "aboat" here in the West now but I haven't heard an "aboot" since I lived in Nova Scotia.

My first thought on seeing the headline was "he should cast Mads Mikkelsen" and after reading the descriptor "former European spy who lost the use of his vocal records after a botched mission", there's no way he could cast anyone else!!!

And yet they don't censor the billboard ads. I remember seeing them everywhere in my city when the show premiered.

Zeke saying “You two are making me feel smart" made me laugh the hardest of the entire episode. I'd love to see more of Zeke on his own with Tammy and Jocelyn (or even Tina or the other Belcher kids!). We so rarely get to see him without Jimmy Jr. The Boyz 4 Now episode is what made me actually really like Zeke and

I'm almost the same; I read Surrender the Pink and Delusions of Grandma when I was maybe 15? I know I didn't understand a lot of it but I felt frightfully mature just reading them.

I'm pretty sure the made-up movie name was actually "Face Punch". Because I'm pretty sure I laughed for a good 20 minutes over it.

I remember reading an interview with Stephenie Meyers years ago where the interviewer actually mentioned that a lot of fans question that and her response—literally, this is verbatim—was "Eww."

Oh yeah, I could see it being budgetary because the CGI shark transitions were super cheap-looking.

Yeah, I feel like the only person who finds it completely plausible for John to have an affair. From the beginning, he's had a revolving cast of girlfriends that he loves and leaves without ever even knowing them very well—I'm thinking of the Christmas party in Scandal in Belgravia where he got his current

I seriously thought Norbury was going to shoot the tank to create chaos in which she could escape. Was disappointed.

It was a police officer. Probably drawn to the scene by the gunshots.

I literally did the same thing.

I don't know about the particular songs he's been nominated for here, but often with Kanye the long list of songwriting credits are from whatever song(s) he's sampled in that particular song. Because I'm not sure he can record a song without sampling 5 different other songs.
