Oh I definitely think that’s what they were going for, but taking it super literally and trying to recreate a consciousness from memory is pretty silly.

This movie is AMAZING and has an incredible cast and is super quotable. “It’s called incest, Arlene. And it’s against the law.” “You kicked Checkers, and you’re prejudiced, and you have a potty mouth!” and of course “You can’t let Dick run your life!”

This is like my favorite scene in the movie and I’m ALWAYS doing that breathy “I honestly looooove you” followed by that creaky “you don’t have to AN-SAH... I can see it in your EYES”. Nobody gets it!!! DICK NEEDS MORE LOVE.

I agree! The movie itself isn’t bad and actually has some cool ideas and weird styles. If it wasn’t called Aeon Flux people would think of it more fondly

It’s infuriating because most people would pay LESS TOTAL tax with a truly progressive income tax than they currently do in sales tax + property tax

A huge part of the problem is that WA doesn’t have a state income tax so every time something needs to be funded it’s through property levys and increases in car tabs which are hugely regressive, plus you get voter fatigue where people just get sick of having to vote to do something as basic as fund schools or public…
