without the electoral college Columbus would have a disproportionate representation over WY, that is a problem. 

i don’t live in WY. the electoral college sees that votes are counted equally. there is a reason true democracies don’t exist.

the margin of victory in cities would far outstrip the victory margins in rural areas and even possibly total votes. i cant understand why epople vote against their best interests but i dont want the whole country turning into NYC or CA either. 

Because there are more people in Queens, NY than are in Wyoming. Your WY vote would count for either nothing or as a small percentage of 1 megacity vote. when places like NYc for one candidate that millions of vote margin makes up for the smaller margins and smaller vote totals in redder states. 

yeah like wisconsin, michigan...oh wait...only clinton ignored those states.

why should the opposite be true? why should city folks votes count more than suburban or rural. Answer. They shouldn’t. But they would if the electoral college went away.
