There are good looking women everywhere (including at Starbucks) and though I think Rappaport is wrong in his assessment, this is something that never needs to be said. Think it if you like but don’t say it out loud.

And ruined it in the process. The dynamic between Supergirl and Cat Grant was my favorite part of the show. 

I call these Superhero shows in that the stars achieve things only a superhuman can achieve only they don’t have superpowers. Like those “ One man will save the world” shows and movies that Costner and Sutherland make over and over.

Would you travel to a movie theater and pay money to listen to teenagers talk? I spend five days a week listening to teenagers talk and as nice as many of them are, their dialogue isn’t that scintillating. 

No. This is an invention of writers who had no friends in high school and feel the need to get revenge on the normal kids who actually did.

Where do you people live that you actually get to see these movies? Half the movies on this list never made it to theaters in western Pa. I should be grateful for The AV Club because it’s reviews of obscure movies are the impetus I use to watch movies i otherwise never would have heard of.

Unsane is definitely not skippable. The acting and tone in it are both terrific.

The Big Short was designed to be entertaining as well as being a little illuminating of the financial crisis. It succeeded on both counts.
