No. This is an invention of writers who had no friends in high school and feel the need to get revenge on the normal kids who actually did.

neither of them were headline blockbuster type actors. Both were about sex appeal and little else. For women Hartnett is still a heartthrob.
Hartnett’s obscurity is a career choice.
still an entertaining movie. Also, they’re teenagers.
Same here. Maybe being an adult in the 70s wasn’t so great but being a kid from ages 1-11 it was wonderful.
How do we know you’re a real Hamilton Nolan and not a con artist?
Vaping enable the nicotine and smoke a better vessel to get into the lungs. Teens would be better off smoking than vaping. Only someone who hates teens would make and market a product like this.
I was surprised to learn that. I’d have thought that Fast Times at Ridgemont High would have broken the 100 million mark .
Well in the early 90's I went to NYC for a vacation (“Why would anyone ever come to NY for vacation?” an exasperated (or was he incredulous?) local asked me at the Yankees game I went to.). I did the touristy stuff like the World Trade Center, Empire State building, museums, etc, but as a fan of the movie The Warriors…
Yes the 70s...the greatest decade. I’d like to fall into a Groundhog Day style loop where i get to live the 70's over and over again.
Where do you people live that you actually get to see these movies? Half the movies on this list never made it to theaters in western Pa. I should be grateful for The AV Club because it’s reviews of obscure movies are the impetus I use to watch movies i otherwise never would have heard of.
Unsane is definitely not skippable. The acting and tone in it are both terrific.
The Big Short was designed to be entertaining as well as being a little illuminating of the financial crisis. It succeeded on both counts.
I too was underwhelmed (a little) by Widows. I liked it but didn’t think it lived up to the hype. And the plot twist was very obvious.
Or Unsane or A Quiet Place. Both are better candidates than 8th Grade, which is bad, and Widows, which is good but not great.
why? 1990 was much better.
Have become? We started out this way. A small group of landowners exploiting the lower classes so they didn’t have to pay tax to the crown. We’ve always been this way. It’s just worse now.
No. Texas is too big and contains too many resources. TexANS however, can leave anytime they want.
It’s always the Affordable Care Act and never Obamacare. People who call it Obamacare should be fined or jailed. Having said that the ACA was a sad half-measure filled with giveaways.
Thanks to the internet this is like the trillionth thing people have no reason to know about.
