Many rank and file Republicans sat out the 2016 election. Trump picked up people who didn’t vote or who switched. That and that communist idiot Sanders beating down Hillary is why he won. And voter suppression tactics. And low voter turnout. 

Trump only gets reelected if he runs against a woman (Also he must still be in office in Nov 2020). Hillary was the clearly the better candidate and clearly would have been the better president, but she is a woman and Americans hate women.
