I disagree. The Miata is such a unique car and experience that it wouldn’t be fair to exclude people who don’t want a stick. Also, Mazda’s automatics are pretty good.

You can definitely place covers over the tracks. The tunnels are designed with escape routes for emergencies anyway, how this didn’t warrant an evacuation is beyond me.
