It worth mentioning how unattractive of a car the base fiesta was. It handles well bu that was it. The transmission was awful, the interior was awful, the infotainment was crap, and the car was cramped. You also have to understand that this Fiesta is SO MUCH BETTER than the outgoing one. A car not being good enough is valid reason for it to sell poorly. Conventional wisdom is that if its problems are fixed, it will sell better. But clearly neither ford nor much of the public understands this.

SIZE. Minivans are massive now. Almost every 3 row crossover it about 6" shorter in length than any minivan and 2" narrower, which is a huge difference when you have limited garage space or live in a crowded area.

The whole thing is pretty ridiculous, but the bottom row is disgusting. Seeing disabled people and children as weapons is a recipe for war crimes.

He meant boring to drive. A crown vic and flex are both really cool, but 4300-4800 lb behemoths are surely not that fun to drive. The c30 was also lamented for its relatively numb steering.

Actually, with my mk6 gti, never. I gotten annoyed by its rims getting bent all the time, but i still love it, maybe more than I did years ago, now that I know how to get the most out of it. The key is to get a renowned fun-to-drive car. It’s never gonna get boring.

How big is it? I hate how large minivans have gotten, and the smaller size of three row SUV’s make them the only type of crossover that appeals to me. I want to make sure this things isn’t two miles wide as well. And can a fully grown man fit in the third row?

This is solid proof that RWD sporty cars will sell, even if they’re impractical and a little over sized. It goes without saying that a compact, practical, manual, 4 door RWD car will sell if its not overpriced. I’m perpetually triggered by the fact that no company is even considering making one.

Its still cheaper than a c-class thanks to the FWD platform. Its also still more compact.

They need to make a GLI version RIGHT NOW. And with the same performance pack as the GTI. This car is lame for all I know. That torsion beam rear end and weak engine isn’t doing it any favors, which is a shame because its good otherwise.

And then Manufacturers have the audacity to axe the manual because they don’t sell. Well no shit, a manual isn’t the only thing manual drivers want you know. What about the more powerful engine, an LSD, most options? Of course manuals won’t sell if you banish them to the worst trim level.
