96 month loan? Wow. It felt like a guilty pleasure when I took out a 60 month loan. I really felt like I was living on the edge. I have no problem paying a note out over the useful life of the car, but I truly would like to know why people give in to trading in upsidedown cars. Is it just a matter of ego and prestige?

The buy here/pay here lots are predatory as hell. Many people never end up paying those cars off.

Ummmm, it’s not the insurance companies or KBB causing the logarithmic deprecation curves..

More people are underwater on their loans when they trade in....color me shocked. 84 month loans will do that to you. I’m looking forward to the sales crash that’ll happen this year, which leads us to FCA. On what Sergio had to say, the reactionary response I have is, “hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha”.

Looks like the driver of that Compass needs a better sense of

Why was he trying to match RPM and not speed at the point of hitting the brakes? There is gearing in the transfer case, maybe he’s going slower at the moment of hitting the brakes in 4wd than 2wd.

I’ll have a C5 Z one day, “that guy” attitude be damned.

is it just me, or have these aged pretty well? can i buy one of these without being ‘that guy’ yet?

I’ve rarely seen a pun thread fly over the head of so many commenters...

Maybe the driver could launch a kickstarter?

But who will shoulder the cost?

How else should you respond to an elevated number of incidents?

Well if traffic is stopped and you are not you are technically going faster than you should be, hence too fast for conditions.

It doesn’t even matter what his actual speed was. You can be going well below the posted speed limit and still be travelling too fast for conditions.

That truck driver has to feel remarkably lucky. If the car hadn’t been up there yet to take the blow, if he’d been a little slower to react, if the angle hadn’t been just right...so many ways that could have been much worse.

I don’t think they’re going to be inclined to spend the money...

I guess Michigan should ramp up road repairs soon...

I want the Omni Hellcat myself.

It’s really easy to come home from work in decent looking clothes (assuming you work in an office and not a junk yard) and start working on the car. Before you know it, you have grease all over your garments and exposed body parts.
